Pastor
Coye L. Bouyer, who is called Rev, was born, on December 25, 1978, to Corey and Lynda Bouyer, in Battle Creek, MI. He is the fourth of five children and was thought by his parents and
teachers alike to be a kind, thoughtful, mature (for his age) child with
a somewhat quirky sense-of-humor. His stepfather, James Davis was an important influence through
his childhood and plays an instrumental role in his life.
Rev was married to his childhood friend, confidant, and classmate
the former Miss Keturah Sudduth on December 18, 1999, at Friendship
Baptist Church and they are the proud parents of 3 beautiful children; Sierra, Seth, and Cayla.

Growing up on the south side of Lansing, Rev attended Woodcreek Elementary, Dwight Rich Junior High and Sexton High School.
His outstanding athletic ability was recognized early but it was
his committed spiritual search which sustained and steadied him.
It was during his mid-teens he begin focusing his talents and
abilities, while seeking spiritual awareness and understanding. He found athletic excellence faster to acquire then spiritual
understanding and Rev received a full scholarship
from Western Michigan University in track graduating with his
Bachelors in Social Work, in 2001. Satisfying a long standing desire, he applied and was accepted to Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas where he graduated with his Master’s of Theology in 2005.

Rev accepted the Lord at the tender age of 6 being baptized at
Friendship Baptist Church in Lansing, MI., and in 1996, at the age of 17
he accepted the call to the ministry beginning a journey destined to one
end; to live, teach and preach God‘s word. He was licensed as Minister
Bouyer by Pastor James Hines of Lily Missionary Baptist Church in
Jackson, MI, in 1998, and was officially ordained in 2005 as Reverend
Bouyer by Pastors’ James Hines, Ronnie Goines, Herbert Walker and
Reverend Mike Fechner. During his years at Western MI, Rev attended
Lily Missionary Baptist Church and served as a Minister in training
under Pastor Hines. In Dallas he interned at Vickery Baptist Church
where he eventually became Assistant Pastor to Pastor Herbert Walker. Additionally, while in Dallas he served as Ministry Associate Team
Leader for a para-church ministry known as Bridgebuilders, Connecting
people to God and to each other to bring revival, reformation, and
revitalization to our cities.
Lansing’s blessing, is the Lord moving in Rev’s life leading him, in
2006, back to the area. Upon
his return, he immediately became affiliated with two long standing
local ministries; Lansing Christian School where he taught the Bible
Study class and as Youth Pastor of River Terrace Church. These programs have added to his growth and he brings that
knowledge to his confidence that his ultimate ministry would bring him
home to the south side of Lansing.
After much prayer and in the Lord’s time Rev has been moved to
plant a church and in September
of 2008, Pastor Bouyer with his wife, Keturah took the first fledging
steps toward what would become Kingdom Life Church.
In December of 2008, the first Bible study was taught at
Woodcreek Elementary School boasting 3 participants to include Rev and
Keturah.
Rev grew up in Lansing
and remembers with love and respect the countless number of persons who
encouraged him throughout his athletic days and in his spiritual walk.
From the time he left for college in 1997, he has prayed the Lord would
return him to plant a ministry in Lansing.
While his greatest passion is his relationship with the Lord, his
greatest ministry desire has been to invest spiritually in the lives of
the children and grandchildren of the people who first invested in him.
Don’t be alarmed when you see the man of God
who moves quickly with a long loping stride,
carrying his trade mark, much used Bible
That would be our man
That would be God’s man.
That would be he, who God has sent
To bring the Word, of how to live
That would be our man,
The Rev.
